Prism Speed Test — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Prism Speed Test application for iPhone and iPad (the "App"), published by Prism Data Group. By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms.

1. License

The App is licensed, not sold, to you for personal or business use on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms. The App is free, fully unlocked, and contains no in-app purchases.

2. Acceptable use

Use the App only to measure connections you are entitled to use. Do not use it to place deliberate, sustained load on any network or service, to interfere with the test infrastructure it relies on, or in any way that violates applicable law or the terms of your internet service provider. Speed tests transfer real data; on metered or cellular plans, each test counts against your data allowance and you are responsible for any resulting charges.

3. Measurements are estimates

Speed, latency, jitter, bufferbloat grades, plan-percentage figures, and plain-language verdicts are estimates produced at a moment in time. They depend on your device, your Wi‑Fi or cellular conditions, your provider's network, other traffic on your connection, and the public test edge the App measures against, none of which we control. Results may differ from other tools, from your provider's own figures, or from one run to the next, and are not a guarantee of any level of service. Verdicts are general guidance, not a promise that a particular application will perform in a particular way.

4. Test infrastructure

Measurements run against Cloudflare's public speed-test edge network, which is operated by Cloudflare under its own terms and may change or become unavailable without notice. We may change the test method, endpoints, or metrics in future versions of the App.

5. Your data

Your history, notes, and settings are stored only on your device, and you are responsible for backing them up (for example, by exporting to CSV or JSON). We have no copy and cannot restore data that is deleted or lost with the device or the App.

6. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism Data Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, or from reliance on any measurement or verdict it produces, including any data charges, service decisions, or loss of data.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Prism Data Group is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
