Prism Tape Calculator — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Prism Tape Calculator application for iPhone (the "App"), published by Prism Data Group. By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms.

1. License

The App is licensed, not sold, to you for personal or business use on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms. The App is free, fully unlocked, and contains no in-app purchases.

2. Acceptable use

Use the App in accordance with applicable law. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the App except as permitted by the App Store terms.

3. Results are calculations, not advice

The App performs the arithmetic you ask it to. It applies documented rules — decimal arithmetic, a consistent interpretation of percentages (for example, 200 + 15% = 230), standard operator precedence, and floating-point evaluation for scientific functions such as trigonometry and logarithms, which are displayed to a limited number of significant digits. Results are provided for general use and are not financial, tax, engineering, or professional advice. You are responsible for checking any calculation on which you rely.

4. Your data

Your tape is stored only on your device, and you are responsible for backing it up (for example, through your device backup). We have no copy and cannot restore data that is deleted or lost with the device or the App.

5. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism Data Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, or from reliance on any result it produces, including any financial decision or loss of data.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Prism Data Group is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
